An engineer turned actor, Gaurav is a graduate of the Film and Telvision Institute of India. Though active in theater from childhood, it was while doing his masters in engineering in Australia that Gaurav decided to pursue acting fulltime. He came back to India, joined FTII and indulged in the two passions of his life-acting and literature. His performance in a institute production was noticed by the renowned director, Ketan Mehta who signed him on for a leading role in his film, Rang Rasiya. Bombay Summer is Gaurav's second film.
